PROCESS.

From start to finish every detail is given our fullest attention, ensuring the correct materials and methods are used to create a quality renovation. We work with a fully systemized approach to each project, keeping within budget and schedule with nothing overlooked.

STEP
01

Let’s get acquainted.

We begin with a free in-home consultation, where a team member from Rusch Projects meets with you to discuss your project and gain an understanding of your goals and vision.

02

Planning for success.

You will be introduced to your team, selected for your unique project needs. You will all meet to explore your wishes, wants, and needs, and discuss how this will effect budget and scheduling. From here your team will work on creating the space that you envision, while ensuring the proper engineering and building code needs are met.

  • Review the space that is relevant to your design
  • Discuss the idea collection as per your lists
  • Work with you to define goals
  • Take before photos
  • Measure the existing space
  • Prepare schematic designs
  • Review with client schematic designs and budget
  • Revise schematic drawings and budget based on client feedback (2 revisions)
  • Host a Charette (initial review of the project with relevant trades)

03

The magic of creation.

After identifying what you like, what works, and what doesn't in the preliminary schematic drawings and estimate, our design team will further develop the drawings and prepare an estimate based on your feedback.

  • Prepare design/development drawings ( these are scaled drawings of the approved schematic design and include critical elevations) ( 2 revisions) 
  • Arrange selection with Selections Coordinator for all finishes and fixtures; as it applies to the project
  • Prepare elevations and 2 D drawings for scope
  • Prepare written scope of work
  • Prepare lighting and electrical design and layout
  • Prepare intermediate estimate of construction costs
  • Review with client design development drawings and estimate

04

Details, Details, Details.

Your Design Decisions will have an impact on many elements and will help us in fine tuning the design and costing. You will be introduced to your Project Manager and do a walk-through of your home prior to finalizing and approving your complete budget, drawings and selections. 

  • Complete Forensic inspection to identify structural, mechanical and/or electrical engineering services necessary to complete the design project 
  • Prepare construction drawings suitable for obtaining a building permit
  • Arrange structural engineering review if required 
  • Prepare construction specifications and contract
  • Prepare finishes schedules and final construction costs 
  • Building permit application

05

Off to work we go!

Building commences! Your designer will remain in constant contact with the construction crew and you will meet with your Project Manager regurlarly to ensure we are meeting your expectations on the schedule, budget and quality every step of the way.

Enjoying your new space.

Your contract completion date will mark the final team meeting. We will guide you through the finished result, explaining exactly what was done, how everything operates, and any required maintenance. We'll check in 30 days later, and again at 1 2 months to confirm that everything is still entirely to your satisfaction. If any issues or concerns arise throughout the length of your 5-year warranty or beyond, we're always just a phone call away. Our Service Department is available for any support you may require; all you have to do is relax and enjoy your new space!
